hugin - Panorama photo stitcher
Goal: an easy to use cross-platform panoramic imaging toolchain based on Panorama Tools.
With hugin you can assemble a mosaic of photographs into a complete immersive panorama, stitch any series of overlapping pictures and much more.
Status
hugin has now reached stable state: the software is recommended for general use.
hugin version 0.7 beta 4 is the latest version, it can be downloaded for Linux, OS X and Windows.
hugin has been localised with Brazilian Portuguese, Catalan, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish and Ukranian translations.

There are some screenshots of hugin in action.
If you want to see some example pictures created with hugin, take a look at thousands of hugin pictures on flickr, or Pablo's gallery or Bruno's panoramas.
On the World Wide Panorama site, Klaus Voigt, Claudio Lanconelli, Shuji Inoue & Krzysztof Wojciechowski show some fully immersive QTVR panoramas created with hugin (The proprietary Quicktime player or the FreePV player is required to view them).
